My approach to Parenting Support

My approach to parenting support is centered on creating a collaborative and empathetic environment to address parenting stress and equip you with tools to support you in your parenting role.

I integrate techniques from cognitive behavioral therapy and trauma informed care to tailor interventions to meet your specific needs. We will work together in a warm and non-judgmental space to explore your parenting concerns, experiences, challenges, and strengths.

Our sessions will involve learning practical strategies that you can apply in your daily life, gaining insights into child development, and practicing effective techniques to support you with stress, family communication, fostering a healthier parent-child relationship, reducing challenging behaviors, and supporting your child’s development.

Whether you’re addressing specific issues, preparing to become a parent, or seeking to enhance your overall parenting skills, my aim is to empower you with the tools and confidence to foster a positive and nurturing relationship with your child.

What to expect from your first session

Our journey begins with a free consultation call, where I’ll learn more about your and your child/family’s needs. This initial conversation allows us to discuss your concerns, answer any questions, and determine how I can best support you.

After the call, if we’ve determined we’re a good fit for therapy, I’ll send over the necessary paperwork (electronically) and schedule the initial intake appointment.

During the initial intake session, I will meet with you to gather detailed information about your concerns and any specific challenges you may be facing. This session is an opportunity for us to establish goals and collaborate on a plan tailored to you and your family’s needs.

From there, you can expect a warm, accepting space where we will explore your parenting challenges and strengths and practice effective strategies to support you with your parenting goals.
